A. Every year there is always one member representative on the committee whose term of office ends. Any fully paid up Dalfaber Village Club member can apply for a position by sending in their CV to either the Chair or email@example.com by 28 February each year. Q. When was the 2017 Annual General Meeting held?
A. It was held on 18 May 2017 at the Dalfaber Golf & Country Club.
Q. Where can I obtain a copy of the draft 2017 AGM Minutes?
A. These draft minutes will be posted in the Members Private Area , once the Committee have have received and approved them. This is likely to be in September 2017

Q. How can I find my Log In & Password details for the Private Members Area?
A. These details are to be found in the Chair’s December 2016 Members Letter. They may also be obtained by contacting MRL Member Services firstname.lastname@example.org
Q. How do I get my Member Loyalty Card now that it is no longer posted out?
A. When visiting any MRL Resort, or your home resort, ask at the Reception Desk quoting your MRL – ID number and your card/s will be issued there and then.
Q. Why am I being asked to pay a six monthly Management Fee from July to December 2015?
A. The management charge has historically been invoiced annually as at 1 July each year, however the financial year was changed to January to December as at 1 January 2015. Former Fixed Week Owners have already paid up to 30 June 2015. They would normally have received another 12 month invoice on 1 July 2015, however in order to effect the change to the financial year a six month invoice was issued ( as per the constitution) to cover the period 1 July to 31 December 2015 and the next one will be a 12 month invoice for the period 1 January to 31 December 2016 and so on annually thereafter. Members have always been obliged to pay an annual management charge regardless of when their week fell and should not link the payment to the timing of occupancy. As members no longer have a fixed week, simply an allocation of points rights entitling them to reserve occupation at any time in each fixed year. No-one is gaining or losing in this- the same management charge ( but reflecting only a half year’s payment ) is being paid in advance without there being any gaps. Over any given 12 month period the Members are paying no more than they would have done under the original system. The Use Year has always been the calendar year and that is not changing.
Q. Can we still use our Former Fixed Week Unit , this year i.e.2015 as per usual?
A. All Former Fixed Week Owners ,whether staying in or exiting from the Dalfaber Village Club (DVC) and regardless of whether their unit is remaining in the DVC or being “transferred-out” to Macdonald Resorts Ltd. (MRL ) will have had the right to occupy/will occupy their normal Former Fixed Week (FFW) in 2015.

A. The Dalfaber Village Club Committee is always pleased to hear from members either for comment about this website or other issues relating to their membership at Dalfaber. However, if your enquiry relates to a problem encountered during a stay at Dalfaber, please do report it to the resort’s reception/ general manager at the time.

Q. Where is the nearest airport for Dalfaber?
A. Inverness http://www.hial.co.uk/ approximately 35 miles from Dalfaber. Bus services also link the other main airports in Scotland to Aviemore.
Q. Can I get to Dalfaber by train? : bus?
A. Yes there is a main line station in Aviemore, where Dalfaber is, and trains come from Inverness southbound or from Perth northbound. http://www.scotrail.com/

Q. Will supermarkets be open when I arrive?
A. There are two main supermarkets in Aviemore, Tesco and The Co-op and a smaller Best One convenience store.
The Co-op ( formerly Costcutter) being the closest to Dalfaber is situated just off Dalfaber Drive before the railway crossing and is open 7 days a week.
There is a Tesco supermarket in the centre of town, across from the railway station. It is open 7 days a week. http://www.tesco.com/store-locator/uk/ it offers a click and collect grocery service, during its opening hours.
The smaller Best One is on the main road into Aviemore town centre.
Q. What laundry / ironing facilities are there?
A. Dalfaber has a laundry for the use of guests in those lodges/apartments which do not have a washer/drier machine. Tokens can be bought at the Reception Desk .The lodges/apartments all have an iron and ironing board and a clothes airer/drier. Q. What activities will be organised when we visit Dalfaber?
A. At the WELCOME Meeting on the first Sunday (11am) of your arrival , a timetable of activities , places and things of interest to do and see in the area, will be available. There are many different activities for young and old alike. Alternatively , the Reception Desk staff will also have this information to hand out.
Q. Are members allowed to bring their pets with them?
A. Dalfaber members are allowed to bring up to 2 domestic pets maximum with them in their own week/s of occupation or on an exchanged week/s. These pets have to be registered at reception immediately on arrival and as a pet owner you will have registration rules to sign and abide by. These rules can be found in the Members Area , under Pet Policy.
